Description

High Strangeness is a hybrid of 8 and 16-bit games… A "12-bit Adventure" whose inspiration comes from the Action, Adventure, and RPG games of yesteryear. The game's core ability allows the player to switch between 8 and 16-bit worlds in order to utilize their generational differences to solve puzzles and explore the universe. Throughout the game, each dimension’s unique pixel art and mechanical differences are infused with visions of watercolor illustrations that shines a light on the mysterious world of High Strangeness. The chiptune soundtrack by Dino Lionetti and Rich Vreeland compliments the aesthetic of High Strangeness' atmosphere and sets the mood for otherworldly happenings.

Game History

In 2009 High Strangeness started off its existence as the first Kickstarted game in history. Since then has been development in various forms as a collaboration between Barnyard Intelligence Games and Crystal Labs.
